The number of registered persons with disability in the Philippines are immensely insufficient and relatively inaccurate due to insufficient equipment and data of the sector in every province/municipality/city, lacking professional doctors in assessing a person’s disability, and insufficient personnel in various disability affairs office to fully adhere on the registry of the sector. In Camarines Norte, there are still numerous inaccuracies and insufficient data of persons with disabilities moreover, it is extremely significant to gather datum information of the sector for various reasons; one is to be able to develop evidence-based policies to monitor the implementation on the rights of persons with disability both in provincial and national level, also to be able to measure progress towards national and provincial targets, as well as to take stock of challenges that remain unresolved.
